Lee Jinki (이진기), born December 14, 1989 , better known by his stage nameOnew (온유). The leader and oldest member in the group, he was discovered at the “2006 S.M. Academy Casting”.Onew collaborated with Lee Hyun Ji, former member of project group Banana Girl, for her song “Vanilla Love”.He was also featured in a duet, entitled One Year Later “1년 後”, with Girls’ Generationmember Jessica for their mini-album Tell Me Your Wish.

The eldest member in SHINee. Is extremely intelligent, so much so that in his senior year of high school he was able to place 2nd in his entire school withoutthe aid of a tutor. His nickname is Dubu (Korean for Tofu) because his personality is mild and soft, like tofu.

Onew has a unique ability that his fellow members have dubbed “the Onew Condition”. With the Onew Condition he is able to tell a joke (or make a random comment/gesture) that is so awkward and so lame that everyone around him freezes in shock. Whenever this happens the members sing their own little Onew theme-song to break the tension: Whatever he does, it’s the Onew condition~.

Kim Jonghyun (김종현), born April 8, 1990 (age 19), commonly known asJonghyun, is the main vocalist in the group. He was discovered at the “2005 S.M. Casting System”.Before debuting with Shinee, Jonghyun sang a duet, “Wrongly Given Love” (交错的爱), with Zhang Liyin for her debut Chinese albumI Will.

Kim Kibum (김기범), born September 23, 1991 (age 17), better known by his stage name Key (키), is a vocalist and one of the rappers in the group.He was a gifted varsity water-skier at Dae Gu Young Shin Middle School. He was discovered at the “2005 S.M. National Tour Audition Casting”. Before debuting with Shinee, Key appeared in Super Junior‘s movie Attack on the Pin-Up Boys as an extra. Key was featured in label-mate Xiah‘s solo “Xiahtic”.
